Zac Fratkin is a proven, passionate, and relentless business leader with extensive experience in leadership, management, and accountability. Fratkin is Chief Revenue & Information Officer (CRO/CIO) of UsedCardboardBoxes and UCBZeroWaste.
As a leader, Fratkin strives to align all aspects of business with equitable growth: customer, company, and employee alike. Draws the best out of others through an internal fire for excellence and accountability to build productive teams where diversity of skills is promoted harmoniously.

There is no “I” in Team
Cliché, yes. But Fratkin truly wouldn’t be where he is without his home team. They’re the reason he gets out of bed each morning, the ones who drive him to be a better version of himself each waking moment, and the ones who make sure he doesn’t forget to laugh.

Philanthropy
One of Fratkin’s core values is putting people first. The happiness and livelihoods of his team, their families, and his community are as valuable to him as the bottom line.
From a young age, he was raised to give “tzedakah.” Tzedakah is a Hebrew word meaning justice or righteousness, but commonly used to signify charitable giving, typically seen as a moral obligation.
He took these teachings, and made sure to practice them beyond just his workplace, through giving to the following non-profit organizations (to name a few) that most embody his values and interests.
Having a degree in Chemistry, the standards, integrity, and ethics of the scientific method were indoctrinated in Fratkin during his college years. He has since then upheld those same moral compasses by participating in the continuous quest for truth and reason. The Union of Concerned Scientists does exactly this, through putting rigorous, independent science to work to solve our planet's most pressing problems such as climate change, viral pandemics (ex. COVID-19), fighting misinformation and defending science; making this a cause near and dear to Fratkin’s heart.
Growing up, Fratkin took after his favorite uncle with the same matter-of-fact way of thinking and speaking, their shared love of strategy games, and dry sense of humor. His uncle became one of the most influential people in Fratkin’s life, even being the officiant in his wedding. One of the ways Fratkin shows appreciation for his uncle (a member of the LGBTQ+ community) is by advocating for equal rights for all. Fratkin believes love is love, and should be fair for all, making HRC one of the organizations he is a member of.
Fratkin maintains the belief that basic human needs come first in the success of any individual. Basic psychology teaches us that there are certain levels of needs that require attention before being able to identify and resolve other levels of needs. First and foremost on that list is physiological needs - which includes hunger. Once attended to, there is more opportunity for mental, emotional, and physical development of an individual. Therefore, Feeding America has become one of Fratkin’s passions in his community. Because we all do better when we all do better.
